WHAT THE OWNER SAYS: Southwick is a wonderful area to live and the specific location of our house has been a massive advantage for us. From our front door we are only a maximum of 10-12 minutes' walk from various local amenities. We also feel privileged to live right next to the South Downs yet only 15 minutes' walk to the beach. Commuting to work has also been a dream as the bus stop is only 45 seconds walk from the front door (buses come 3 times an hour) which takes 20 minutes to central Hove, 35 minutes to central Brighton, or 12 minutes to Shoreham High Street! Since our purchase, we have made a number of improvements which include a whole new heating system (new boiler, radiators and pipes where necessary) and the boiler still has 3 years to run on the warranty. Even in the winter our house is never cold yet costs the minimum amount possible to run. The loft has now been boarded and re-insulted which has been great for both saving energy and for extra storage. We have also acquired extended permitted development rights from Adur Council to build a rear extension to the house if we choose to (to a maximum of 14 feet), but we thought we would rather seek a new challenge and let a new family extend the house in a way that best suits them.
